Does anyone know about what sort of time this is all meant to be happening, all I'm given is 'Wednesday 10th'. I want to be able to count down to the end of the world if it happens. Would be a shame not to.

Why is it that when I search "Disasters with Telescopes" on google, the first result is a KT Tunstall album?
Does that show that people find a little audio entertainment more important than science?
Without science, we wouldn't have music.
Ironic, isn't it?

Well, if we died this way it'd be a good way to go. And I think it'd pretty much sum up the human race :)
Nice knowing you all!

Quite funny.
Although I'll be eating my words if it happens (if I have time before a black hole eats us).

Yes :)
I love that it's sunny - always nice.
And it means the last few nights have been clear (for me anyway) so got a good few days out with my telescope on the trot. It's a rare thing in England (:

That's the good thing about the stars, they'll always be your friends :) even though it can get annoying sometimes when you're looking for something that you can't find (talking from much experience here...).

Nice to have something to escape to.

Tracking isn't advanced enough to track satalites. I use my skywatcher tracking 'scope for planets, the moon and the like. If you want to view satalites get yourself some good astronomical binoculars. I recommend something like 10x50 or higher. Good luck.

Personally, I found when I first got my GOTO 'scope I was totally lost. The best thing to do is get someone else to help you. Instructions have a reputation for being bad, but especially so in Astronomy related instruments. If you could get a friend to help you with setup then they should help. Also...
