All I hope for is that I slide down my plug-hole which has plenty of hair stuck in it then I may come out with a better head of hair!

Just looked at that website and I have a comment. If it is a theory then why does this piece of text appear? '...Big Bang theory and showing that the Big Bang was complete in the first instants,...' I have nothing against theories, what I do find irritating is anyone saying something MAY be therefor...

I didn't read all of the replies but I am certain of one thing, I love this forum and I've been on a short while.
Where else could I start with an attack on the 'Big Bang' and cover such topics as green writing on black or whatever.
Amazing!

What are the forum member's thoughts on the question, whether the universe is accidentally organized self-organizing or god-organized? I read an interesting statement some months ago to the effect that nature, according to scientists, is in a state of entropy, that is, it is running down, falling ap...

Antti, why not just go out in to the clear night sky and look up, with or without optical aids, and enjoy the view. If you really want to challenge the orthodox or unorthodox theories of space and time do it where it will get the audience it deserves. I am not so sure that this forum is the place. I...

I have a Konus 500 which was a gift. I also have a Russian monocular with 12x40 and 20x60 eyepieces. I don't use binoculars as my eyes work independantly! Really. When I brought the Konus over from Tenerife and put it together again I think I may have set up some part of it wrongly as the declinatio...

My wife and I both did the Science foundation course in 2000. She passed the exam I failed abysmally. I wanted to go on and do the Planetary Science course but, as my maths was also abysmal, I didn't bother. I have to say, I did enjoy the studying, and, while I was studying, I found time to project ...

Thank you for the welcome Andrew. Sorry to hear you had a bad time in Tenerife, I just kept saying, "I'm with him", (the wife's son's step-father-in-law!) My wife and I were visiting her son and his wife who live over there. My first experience of flying! Hooked on the place now and we are going aga...

Hello from Zeke

Hello everyone, I am a newbie as far as this forum is concerened, but not a newbie to astronomy as a hobby. I first became interested when Sir Patrick Moore start4ed the Sky at Night Programme on BBC TV. I have had several poor telescopes over the years but last year I went to Tenerife and was given...
