In the 70s I travelled around the north of England in a band.
I was amazed to see street lights, on the motorways, still on in the daytime.
Now I know this is no help to astronomers but I assume the same people who turn on the lights at night turn them on leave them on in the daytime.

Went out tonight and had another peek at Jupiter, rather low down in the sky and I am sure that my 'scope needs adjusting but I don't think I'm up to it. Science and religion, two very old chestnuts.
My opinion, for what it's worth is for an infinite universe for the simple reason that I cannot really get my head around the 'what-is-outside-it' idea, but then, can anyone get their head round a finite universe?
