sadly it was clouded over for me in leeds most of the night and the morning. i did check to about 6:30am but where mercury was the day before there were only dark clouds sat on the horizon.. :( its really cloudy again tonight too.... :( so no joy for me... :cry: wow :shock: 20 years of astro-diaries...

thanks for the offer dave.. :D ill probably take you up on that at some point.. :) ill be in touch in the future when the nights are longer and its colder in the sky so there arent as many clouds about..need to get my big binoculars back from the repair shop and also im waiting for some money to co...

update : i did it!

update : yay! :!: :D life smiled upon me... the early morning rain cleared about 6am and i just spent the last 50 mins (6:30-7:20am)watching mercury slowly rise above the horizon to the east. at first i viewed it with my 10x50s and as there were two points of light near each other i couldnt work out...
