ETX-LS ccd

Does anyone have an idea how many pixels the soon to be issued Meade ETX-LS will have on its sensor?

Everything I have read manages to not say.

DISCLAIMER: This information could well be wrong, I had printed it out and if I recall it was a list of a few binocular objects. Trouble is all I have is the list and no description of exactly what the list was/is. M36, M37, M38 open clusters in Auriga. M35 in Cancer. M42 Orion Nebula. M31 in Androm...

Years ago I used to buy optical items from Melles Griot.
They used to cut any lens they had to any diameter.
The range was extensive so give them a search and see.

Last I knew they were around the Cambridge-Ely area.

If the OU course looks a little imposing try a look at www.astronomy.ac.uk It is 3 universities that have clubbed together to offer a degree in astronomy but I think they also offer courses from the GCSE grade upwards in astronomy. It may be an easier introduction and may also offer a broader set of...

Read this as I am also thinking of the 5 or 6 inch. Concerning transport have a look for one of the everyday travel trolley cases that are available from various shops. I use one for the small refractor I have and it very good. I keep all the accessories in it such as 12v car adaptor and a mains ext...

I have a 12v unit that attaches to a car to power my Meade. When at home I now use a 240-12 unit that I bought from Halfords for powering car attachments. (I burnt out the small convenient unit I had  It sounds as if you need a similar item. The cost seemed a little high for what it was (probab...

You could try www.dhinds.co.uk, (Tring) they have classifieds and it seems you can place an ad. Don't think there is a charge or anything. www.green-witch.com (Cambridge area) used to have a list of items for sale but not sure if it is still there or what the arrangements are. Had a feeling it was/i...

What size scope?

Placed this under General as the telescopes and Instruments appears less relevant or too specialist. I have a small Meade goto that I bought a few years ago. Haven't really used it a lot but it is easy to set up and I have all the bits to run it from a car. Would like something a bit bigger, mainly ...
