Many thanks all for the feed-back on that, yes the name Alphard did display on my scope display that night too, I have neen looking at the little bit of Moon that I could see tonight at 7pm, and at last I was able to get the telescope aligned by setting it up on the moon, so I am pleased about that....

Can anyone please help?

I see it in my South sky slightly S/West which was really a great view in very dark sky in Suffolk tonight. If anyone could tell...

Really good night viewing from Suffolk tonight.

Well I started viewing with my Telescope at 7pm Sunday towards South/S.West sky, and well what a night, I viewed Orion, and Bellatrix really clear with my Celestron 114 with the 9mm Lens, then used the 25mm, the sky was full, really full with so many things I did not know where to look next, then I ...

Yes I have been a radio ham for many years, and I spoke to a lady on Mia called Helen Sharman when Mia was going over my house, it was great, I used an FT736 (still have it in my shack) and the power needed to talk to her being in the sky was just 10 watts.
Great fun if your a radio ham too.

I had a great view of the sky tonight, 1st time for over a week, it was clear all day till fog formed about 8pm. I see Jupiter so got my new Celestron camera on scope to film it, well not good sadly as the planet looked like a bright car head-light on my Laptop screen, so I gave it up when fog hit o...

Hello Brian,
Thank you for msg, yes I just looked at that video, my own Philips camera does not look like that one, my one is like a little Micky Mouse coloured camera which has a short stubby orange small lens.
Cheers,
David

Thank you Dave, that article you gave me was out of this world, what we are now hearing about, and seeing happen is what we have been warned of for years I am told, just never expected to be around when this all started. Space is a really exciting thing to be involved in today I feel. Thanks again f...

Is the sun going crazy?

I have just read a report tonight on the Internet from NASA that a hole has appeared within the Sun, is that right? or was it some type of odd internet posting from a person getting over a bad night? I am confused, please put me in the picture about it if you can folks?
Many thanks.

Hello Brian,
That was great news on the Camera, I will download that driver for it, they look odd things, but the picture from them was always very good I found.
Thanks again.

I have had 2 of those Philips cams but my current one will not see my Windows 7 PC, so last week I bought the Celestron Camera, if my Philips would go on PC I could have saved good money.
