I've been enjoying showing off Venus' crescent to the neighbours on the few occasions the sky has been clear here. Looks lovely and bright through the celestron.

Yes, I've been enjoying it too (when the clouds cooperate), it looks lovely as the planet gets closer to the sun and the crescent gets larger but thinner.

But be careful people, NO LOOKING AT THE SUN! This is a situation where a bump into the tripod could spell disaster.
