Here is my light curve showing the primary eclipse of RZ Cas that occurred during the early hours of 2018 Jan 8th.

Brightness estimates were made every 20-25 minutes using 11x80 binoculars.

RZ Cas is an Algol-type eclipsing binary whose eclipses last for just under 5 hours.

Observing conditions were mostly good. Sky was cloud-free with the near last quarter Moon in the opposite half of the sky. Cassiopeia was becoming low in the northern sky towards the end of the eclipse.

Very nice.
Well done on both eclipses.

It wasn't long since we were having a bit of a moan about how inactive the forum had become. And now Loki at the activity here. The effort in making prolonged observations like this to produce these great light curves shows things are back on track again. This is great amateur observing, not to mention Maurice's observatory, Jeff's conjunction sketches and smerrals imaging. Great stuff, Bob

Sorry, the Viking ancestry's gotten out of the box again! Should be "look" not "Loki" in the last post from me. Bob
