11/11/18. Although very short glimpses of the Crescent Venus were had earlier, for seconds only in small holes in multileveled fast moving cloud from the bedroom window, a more satisfactory sighting, although still interupted by passing clouds, was had later, at 0814-083O from the back-garden using Acuter 18-48x65 on a tripod. The Sun was well-up but hidden in clouds, roofs and trees and Venus bright and beautiful. Very windy and generally cloudy with rain threatened... ps. It is now raining!! (Venus in Daylight Obs.#548). Regards maf.
