21/06/19: To Foredown Ridge with camera & welders' glass (#14). The sky was mainly clear with the exception of a bank of tall cumulus over the sea - this caught the red rays of the Sun around 0345 GMT. The Gibbous Moon was above this bank of cloud. The first speck of Solar disc was visible above the eastern hills at 0401 GMT, it was then photographed at 0402 GMT, and finally at 0403 GMT it was finally free from the horizon. The times were taken from the photographs and are correct to within a minute. The photographs were taken through the welders' glass giving a green solstice sunrise! Regards maf.
