5th October 2019, 1955-2005 BST. Just before the band of heavy rain hit Sussex last night, I did manage to grab a quick view of the First Quarter Moon about half the fov (of the Olivon T50 spotter set at 12x) below Saturn. Having noticed the spectacle in cloud gaps when glancing out of the window, I quickly used the scope handheld and rested on the window-frame It was very soon lost to cloud + rain. Regards maf.
