Mercury

2nd December 2019. another sighting of Mercury on this cold and clear morning. First seen at 0645 UT just over the rooftop and through the treeless branches, and followed using 8x36 Nikon binocular and Landscout spotter through the bedroom window glass until the sky was flushed with straw&pink of sunrise and by then the angle through the window was extreme. It was then about 0725 UT. [obs.#529] regards maf

Had a look outside at 6.45UT to see Mercury in the brightening SE sky. No problem unaided eye. Took a snapshot with my Lumix TZ18 camera set to auto.

This evening ay 16.48UT was able to see Venus easily unaided eye in the golden sunset glow. Again took a snapshot on auto setting :)
