Phew, I spent all day mucking around with this trying to process the narrowband to my satisfaction. The result so far is a mixture of photoshop and Astropixel processor (I'm on the month's free trial). The image was captured with the Altair Astro 102 at f/5.2 and the Starlight Xpress SXV H9-C with Altair Quadband filter. 10x300 secs + 2x600secs.

The Quadband OSC filter certainly does a good job here. Do you think it is good value for money?

regards,

Hi Brian. Yes, I think it's an excellent filter. It offers a great way of of capturing narrowband images with an OSC camera. I am lucky to have dark skies but it has added value for those with strong light pollution (for which the triband filter is recommended.) Also it will allow me to image in moonlight and extend my deep sky imaging time when the skies become lighter, which is a big plus when you live so far north. It may seem a tad expensive but in my view it's worth it. :)
