The Tiger's eye galaxy imaged last night. NGC 2841 is a giant spiral galaxy with properties similar to those of the Andromeda Galaxy. It is a prototypical flocculent spiral galaxy, a type of spiral galaxy whose arms are patchy and discontinuous. It is 46 million light years distant.

Imaged last night with the C8 and Starlight Xpress SXVR H9-C. Total integration 135 minutes. This galaxy does have many star forming regions so might benefit from some narrowband imaging.

Nice image :D . Its a pity that the "nearby" Type-K2 star's core has burned out. Difficult to process I guess?

It has indeed Brian. I'm sure there is a way of processing it without the burn out, or possibly do a separate exposure of the starfield and then merge the images.
