The Moon - three photo composite

Post by Kaustav »

After last night's WOLAS meeting, I was inspired by the talk and the extremely clear skies there-after and so I took this image of the moon through a William Optics Megrez 110mm refractor using a 2x Barlow and a Canon 350D camera. It's a three photo composite stitched together in Photoshop.

Stitching

Post by Kaustav »

Well there is this auto stitch option in Photoshop CS3 which works quite nicely. It produced some jaggy edges around the black area of the final image which I had to fill in using the fill tool. I also rotated the image a little.
