Can anyone tell me about a reasonably priced monocular which can be used with a mobile phone for astro-photography.
Thank you.

Sorry, although I used monoculars and small spotting scopes (basically the same things), I do not have a mobile phone.......Luddite Mike.

I think that there are dedicated monocular type instruments for mobile phones designed just for this. I recall lots of different possibilities. One might be called Eagle??

I don't know if these would be more expensive than a monocular.

If you look at the Opticron site they have a good selection of monoculars as do Optical Vision Ltd.

The latest mobile phones even have image stabilisation, very good cameras and also some have facilities for stacking images, I think 4 at a time for HDR photos.

Dear Zeke & David
I'm afraid I fall into the same category as Mike with regards mobile phones - although I do have one (handed down to me about a year ago, but I haven't succeeded in using it yet).
However, with regards using a sophisticated mobile phone's image stabilisation facility. I've never used HDR with any camera, but I thought it is desirable to use a steady tripod taking a set of HDR images. I also think I read somewhere that it is best not to use image stabilisation with a camera set up on a tripod (???).
Best wishes from Cliff
