Well that has shaken me, SCT instead of Refractor

I have always believed that the best scope for imaging and or viewing the Moon is a Refractor.

Last night for the first time I used my SC 8" Edge and the Moon was superb.

It's a belated reply Skyhawk, but the image is of low magnification ( 50X? ). If you'd used a higher magnification with the SCT and compared the result with a good refractor, the latter would probably have excelled due to the SCT's large central obstruction causing some image deterioration.
