Barnard Star's super-Earth

Post by brian livesey »

A super-Earth has been discovered orbiting Barnard's Star. This is the closest single star to Earth at six light years distance.
The exoplanet is a frozen world, three times bigger than Earth. Despite temperatures of -150C, astrophysicists think that there made be pockets of water beneath the ice, possibly supporting life.
