Re: Russia to leave ISS

That's because they are against the Globalist NWO take-over. Russia and China are big enough not to get the Iraq/Libya treatment.

Re: Selling the Moon ..

Left-wingers spout the biggest load of rubbish.

As you already mentioned, it is prohibited by Treaty. Stop reading the fake news media.

Re: New ozone hole discovered

...and they want us to think CO2 causes MMCC/MMGW? LOL!

These kinds of things, and the sheer scale of climate propaganda, give the few scientists doing actual, worthwhile research, a bad name.

Re: Losing the Night Sky

I have no time for this nonsense. Someone is annoyed a private company (and let's be honest - Marxists don't like Musk) is launching their own global communications system that makes all existing systems obsolete. Sat phones/internet for the masses, cheap. As for astronomy...I agree it could be anno...

SkyWatcher EQ6-R Pro // Celestron // Meade OTA?

Hi, Looking at OTAs around 10" for visual use. I maybe might want to try attaching my DSLR sometime, but otherwise not hugely into astrophotography. I'll keep my questions short and to the point: Celestron or Meade, or doesn't really matter? I do like the focus ring of the Meade. What exactly i...

North Korean Satellite - Anyone Heard It?

Hi, I know this section is for VISUAL satellite obs, but I wondered if anyone had managed to listen to the fabled NK satellite? There are conflicting reports in the MSM about the satellites fate. Western reports say it failed to reach orbit and dropped in the Pacific, whilst the Russian and Chinese ...

Stella..... have a Stella on me!
The reported position of 30° elevation, and due south at 52°N is equivalent
to a declination of -8°.
How did you figure this out?

Best regards,
AstroTux.

It's either a meteorite or reflected light - there are other lighting anomalies in that photo, too (look to the left just above the tents).

Best regards,

Seen about 8 meteors and 1x ISS (Mag. -2.0! WOW!! :!: ). STS-118 is presently docked with it, but I think the new solar array is not just helping the space station! ;) Seemed brighter than Mag. -2.0 though - anyone know if Heavens Above has been updated to account for the extra light reflected back ...

I've said this before in forums but I don't mind saying it again...somebody MUST be making a nice bit of money out of us. The weak dollar should make imports less expensive as the importers get more dollars to the pound but this saving is never passed to the consumer. Business overheads should have...

My local store might still have some 8" going cheap (£350 I think) on an HEQ5 with motor mount (not GoTo unfortunately). I'll ask them and let you know!

Best regards,

Hi, I've heard this stuff before, about buying "from our distributors" and "buying outside our distributors is illegal". It has to be price fixing!!!! Why isn't someone jumping on this?????? I'd try and import it anyway. So long as you pay any taxes due, I can't see the problem (...
