I’m not sure I can remember the last time I saw the Sun. Very good effort on such detailed observations, Bob. I’ll see if I can find the Sun this week.
Best wishes, Jeff.

Re: The Sun Today
I wish you luck with the weather Jeff. Yes, please do pick up pick up the threads on the solar front! I shall be away again over the northern winter and I shan't be able to observe the Sun until well into the New Year. Hopefully some more interesting solar activity will soon break out. Best wishes, Bob

Safe trip, Bob, and please do post your antipodean observations if you have chance. It's nice to have a glimpse from the southern hemisphere.
Best wishes, Jeff.

My first solar obs for a while, and the first time I seem to have seen the Sun for a while, although I am sure it has been there. I was quite surprised at how active the disk was. It's getting lower in the sky, and a little bit trickier to find a window of observation when it can pass in gaps between the trees (and the clouds). Fairly good seeing and transparency this afternoon though.
Best wishes, Jeff.
