14/5/22: 0400 am. Broken cloud sheet in a crosshatched pattern, Gibbous Moon setting behind Southwick Hill, from the upper window. So to the Park with Greenkat 7x50 binocular in hand. Saturn picked out. Then Jupiter and Mars, but these two were not yet quite close enough to fit the fov of the Greenkat. Venus popped-up a bit later at 0440 BST and no longer fitted the fov of the binocular with Jupiter. As I was watching the sky, a Fox was watching me, keeping its distance it called ( a single call) , scratched and sat down, watched me, then carried on and sat down again, watched me, repeatedly, as I watched it with my binocular. This gave a good view of the Fox between watching the planets. Dawn was breaking, I went home and the Fox continued on its rounds. Regards mike f.
If you’d had food to offer Mike, Vulpecula might have eaten it at a close distance to you. As they do in some urban parks were there’s plenty of discarded food.
