It's an odd looking thing isn't it Brian, quite smooth, like a dusty potato? I can kind of see why it might not be a typical (captured) asteroid. Phobos and Deimos are among the mysterious oddities of our solar system and they suggest that there is much we don't know about it's evolution. Best wishes, Bob
